PCC Calgary features an array of activities envisioned to stimulate ongoing disscussion, encourage connections and challenge asumptions about performance creation and presentation.
PCC Calgary is happening in conjunction with the FLUID Movement Arts Festival (FLUID) and the Mountain Standard Time Performative Art Festival (M:ST4). Program guides for both festivals will be included in delegate packages, and more information may be found at:
WEDNESDAY - THURSDAY
Registration ($20 cash or cheque) will be at the Theatre Junction Grand between 5 - 8 PM. Conference information and delegate packages will be available upon payment.
Interactive Performances: Return to Theatre Junction Grand for a double bill performance by Chunky Move (GLOW) and Animals of Distinction (Chain Reaction). Also see the technologies utilized by these artists up close at the Media Performance Interactive, a demonstration allowing audience involvement. More
Debate Passionately : Jacob Zimmer (Toronto) will be facilitating the debate-styled, Open for Debate: The Art of Change. This collaborative format is a fresh means of exploring topics and issues pertinent to artists and performers.
Keynote Address: Join us for Keynote Speaker John Murrell at the Glenbow Museum Theatre, with an introductory screening of Cam Christiansen’s award winning new short film, The Real Place. More

FRIDAY - SATURDAY
Open Space Sessions: Attend a two day Open Space session facilitated by Suzanne Boss and Cheryl De Paoli (Calgary) at Calgary’s Drop In Centre. We will be adding a new dimension to the open space format by including spontaneous creation as a means of discussion. More
Three local artists will be on site to document Open Space as it unfolds: one each in video, drawing, writing/poetry. Collected information and documentation will be available through our website within 4 weeks of the conference.
Artist Talk: See distinguished performers Crystal Pite (Kidd Pivot) and Cheryl L'Hirondelle present talks about their dynamic practices. More
Creators with Social Impact: Explore the impacts and ethics of socially engaged performance practices. Who do they benefit? Why? Featuring the City of Calgary's This is My City project. More
Walk a Mile in our Shoes: On the Go is a walking Panel exploring the subject of public intervention, offsite, and site specific performance. During this highly interactive panel, attendees will tour the streets of Calgary, led by locomotive facilitators. More
Soul Food: Sunday features a closing Brunch at The Auburn, included in the $20 registration fee. Join us for food and discusssion regarding the PCCs of 2008, and upcoming conferences in 2009. The Auburn is located at: 163-115 9 Avenue SE
Additional Activities: Attend the public launch of the 2009 High Performance Rodeo. Festival presenters may register for an independently organized Festival Presenter's Meeting at the EPCOR Centre's Martha Cohen Theatre Lobby, and M:ST4 offers the unique opportunity to jog a mini-marathon inside the Glenbow Museum with the The Movement Movement .
